Women's Small Groups

Things We Are

All of Celebrate Recovery™ small groups are led by qualified leaders who have experienced the struggle that is specific to the small group.

Chemical Dependency

This group is designed to accept women who are struggling now, or have in the past, with any form of chemical dependency ranging from alcohol, cocaine, heroine, marijuana, prescription drugs, or other.

Abuse (Sexual, Physical, Mental, Religious, etc.)

This group deals with the identity of shame that takes place whenever we are diminished as humans through all types of abuse and through the methods in which it is inflicted. It is a safe place for every individual to share their feelings and tell their stories in anyway that feels safe and comfortable to them in order to find healing. We also covenant as a group to walk with each other as we discover our true identities by connecting with our feelings.

Codependency & A-Z

This group is for those struggling with the compulsion to rescue and take care of others, have difficulty setting boundaries, or recognizing their own worth. Members in this group learn to express their own needs and wants in healthy ways. We also deal with other issues such as anger, procrastination and depression.

Divorce & Broken Relationships

Ths group is a safe place for women who are currently, or have previously gone through divorce or broken relationships. It is a place to renew hope and feel support as we pray and encourage one another in a new phase of life.

Small Group Guidelines:

1. Keep your sharing focused on your own thoughts and feelings. Limit your sharing to 3–5 minutes.

2. There will be NO cross talk. Cross talk is when two individuals engage in conversation excluding all others. Each person is free to express his or her feelings without interruptions.

3. We are here to support one another, not “fix” one another.

4. Anonymity and confidentiality are basic requirements. What is shared in the group stays in the group. The only exception is when someone threatens to injure themselves or others.

5. Offensive language has no place in a Christ-centered recovery group.

*Please be advised if anyone threatens to hurt themselves or others, their Small Group Leader has the responsibility to report it to a Celebrate Recovery™ Ministry Leader.
