Celebrate Recovery Childcare Guidelines

The intent of Celebrate Recovery™ childcare is to provide a safe place for children during the Celebrate Recovery™ meeting time to allow the participants to concentrate on their recovery. To this end the following guidelines are to be followed:

  • Children should not be dropped off at childcare prior to 6:15 pm and are to be picked up immediately after the small groups are over.
  • Parents should ensure that children have eaten or have their food with them prior dropping them off.
  • All children are to be signed in at the Welcome table and have a name tag, regardless of age. For children under 4 years of age, name tags should go on their back.
  • An information form needs to be completed for each child the first time they attend.
  • Children with food allergies are to have a red star marked on their name tag by the parent.
  • Children are to be taken to the child care area and picked up from there regardless of their age.
  • Children should be potty trained and able to communicate to adults when they need to go to the bathroom.
  • No children, regardless of age, are allowed in small groups as this can be a distraction from sharing, not only by the parent(s), but by others in recovery.
  • Children with special needs are to be discussed with CR leadership prior to being brought to CR so that childcare workers are adequately prepared.
  • Children with temperatures should not be brought to Celebrate Recovery
  • Children should not be allowed to roam around the Church building. They should stay either with their parent(s) or in the child care area at all times.

With your help we hope to have a safe nurturing place for your child while you attend Celebrate Recover. If you have any questions, concerns or problems with your child's care during this time please let us know. We want you to feel comfortable with your child's care.
